Fragrance-Free Biphasic Make-up Remover
A two-phase remover that lifts long-wear and waterproof make-up with a soaked pad and no scrubbing.
A light plant-derived oil phase dissolves make-up; an organic aloe water phase leaves skin feeling fresh, not greasy. Shake, soak a pad, hold it on your lashes and wipe. No parfum, no essential oils and no declared allergens. Certified COSMOS Natural.
Oil phase: isoamyl laurate and coco-caprylate/caprate, light plant-derived emollients, with coconut alkanes and organic sunflower oil. Water phase: organic aloe leaf juice, glycerin and butylene glycol, with a little salt to keep the phases apart. Organic camomile, sea buckthorn, raspberry and paprika extracts, rosemary leaf extract, vitamin E and a touch of hyaluronic acid.
Shake until the two layers mix. Soak a cotton pad, hold it on closed eyes for about ten seconds, then wipe gently downwards. Repeat on lips and face. Rinse or follow with your usual cleanser if you like.
Two clear layers: a golden oil on top and a water phase below, which mix when you shake. Fragrance-free: no Parfum, no essential oils and no declared allergens. You may notice a faint natural smell from the plant extracts.
Ships from the EU in 2–4 working days, then usually 7–14 working days to arrive. Mainland addresses only. Free over €75 and on every subscription order. Times and prices by country are on our Shipping page.
The 60-Day Promise applies to your first order, conditions apply. Your 14-day right of withdrawal and 2-year legal guarantee come first.

Rubbing your eyes to get mascara off is the real problem.
Waterproof mascara and long-wear make-up are made to resist water. A water-based remover can't dissolve them, so you end up rubbing, and the skin around your eyes is the thinnest on your face. Many removers also add fragrance, a common trigger for eyelid irritation.
This remover has an oil phase to dissolve the make-up and a water phase to leave skin fresh. Hold the pad in place, let it work, and wipe once. No fragrance, and no declared allergens.

What's in the bottle.
This formula doesn't have consumer-perception testing, so instead of results we show you exactly what it's made of. The research behind its ingredients comes further down.
Certified COSMOS Natural by Ecocert. The natural-origin percentage comes from our formula's certification data.

Two phases: oil dissolves, water refreshes
Isoamyl Laurate · Coco-Caprylate/Caprate · Aloe Barbadensis
Waterproof mascara holds its colour with waxes, oils and film-forming ingredients that water can't dissolve. Oil can. The top layer of this remover is a blend of light, plant-derived emollients that loosen those waxes, so make-up lifts onto the pad instead of being scrubbed off.
The water phase, based on organic aloe leaf juice with glycerin, takes the greasy feel away. The two layers stay separate in the bottle and mix when you shake, which is why you shake before every use.
What each ingredient does, and how we know
Evidence refers to published research on each ingredient, usually in other products. None of it is a test of this remover.
How it compares with micellar water.
We make both. Many people use this remover on the eyes and our micellar water on the rest of the face.
What studies show about each ingredient.
These studies test an ingredient, usually in a different product. They explain why each ingredient is in this remover. They are not results for this remover.
Fragrance and eyelid skin
A review of patch-test results in people with eyelid dermatitis.
Allergic contact dermatitis was the most frequent cause. Fragrances and preservatives were among the seven most common allergen groups.
It describes causes of eyelid dermatitis. It doesn't test any remover.
Aloe vera
20 women used creams with 0.10–0.50% freeze-dried aloe on the forearm daily for two weeks.
Every aloe concentration raised the water content of the skin's outer layer.
A small forearm study of a cream. It says nothing about lines or cleansing.
Glycerin
A review of research on glycerol and the skin.
Glycerol improves hydration of the outer layer and supports barrier function.
A review. Our glycerin percentage isn't published.
Glucoside cleansers
Healthy volunteers were patch tested with sodium lauryl sulfate, sodium laureth sulfate and an alkyl polyglucoside.
The alkyl polyglucoside caused the least irritation of the three.
The detergents were tested alone, not in a finished cleanser like ours.
Camomile and the daisy family
A review of skin reactions to herbal remedies and cosmetics containing Compositae (daisy family) plants.
People allergic to the daisy family can react to products containing extracts such as camomile.
It concerns people already sensitised. Most people use camomile without problems.
Every ingredient, printed in full.

Vegan, gluten free and nut free. Fragrance-free, with no declared allergens. Certified COSMOS Natural by Ecocert: 99% natural origin. Sodium benzoate and potassium sorbate keep it fresh, and lactic and citric acids set the pH.

Questions, answered honestly.
That's what the oil phase is for. Hold a soaked pad on closed eyes for about ten seconds so the oil can dissolve the waxes, then wipe. Very long-wear formulas may need a second pad.
The oil and water phases are separate in the bottle. Shaking mixes them for a few seconds so you get both on the pad.
Yes. There's no Parfum, no essential oil and no ingredient from the EU fragrance allergen list. Any faint smell comes from the plant extracts.
It's made for the eye area, but keep it out of the eyes themselves. If it gets in, rinse with water. It contains camomile, so skip it if you're allergic to daisy-family plants.
Oil-based removers can loosen the glue on lash extensions. Ask your lash technician first.
Take your lenses out before removing eye make-up, and wash your hands before putting them back in.
You don't have to. If you prefer no oil trace, follow with a mild cleanser or our micellar water.
