Fragrance-Free Rich Cream
A rich, waxy cream for skin that feels dry and tight, with no fragrance and every ingredient named.
Organic sunflower oil, cocoa and shea butters and argan oil, with glycerin and a sunflower wax that helps slow water loss. No Parfum, no essential oils and no declared allergens. Certified COSMOS Natural.
Water, organic sunflower oil and organic cocoa butter make up most of it. Then glycerin, organic argan oil and organic shea butter, with sunflower wax and Japan wax for body. Olive oil unsaponifiables, organic cloudberry and vanilla bean extracts, and vitamin E with ascorbyl palmitate to protect the oils.
Once or twice a day after cleansing. Warm one pump between your fingertips until it softens, then press it over dry areas first and the rest of the face after. In the morning, sunscreen on top.
A rich, waxy cream that softens as you warm it. Fragrance-free: no Parfum, no essential oils and no declared allergens. It contains organic vanilla bean extract and cocoa butter, so you may notice a faint natural smell.

Many rich creams add perfume. Dry skin doesn't need it.
Butters and waxes have a smell of their own, so rich creams often add a perfume to cover it. Fragrance is one of the most common causes of allergic reactions to cosmetics: in a study of 3,119 adults in five European countries, about 2 in 100 had a fragrance allergy that mattered in daily life.
This cream has no Parfum and no essential oils. What you might smell is the cocoa butter and a little organic vanilla bean extract, with nothing added to cover them. The oils, butters and waxes do the work.

What's in the bottle.
This formula doesn't have consumer-perception testing, so instead of results we show you exactly what it's made of. The research behind its ingredients comes further down.
Certified COSMOS Natural by Ecocert. The percentages come from our formula's certification data.

Butters and waxes hold water in. Glycerin draws it in.
Theobroma Cacao · Butyrospermum Parkii · Argania Spinosa
A moisturiser does two jobs. Humectants such as glycerin draw water into the skin's outer layer. Oils, butters and waxes soften the surface and slow the water escaping again. Dry skin is usually short on the second, and this cream is built mostly for that job: sunflower oil, cocoa and shea butters, argan oil and two plant waxes.
No moisturiser has been shown to beat the others. A Cochrane review of 77 trials in people with eczema found most moisturisers helped, but no reliable evidence that one is better than another. So choose on feel, on ingredients and on what your skin tolerates. This one is for people who want rich, and want no fragrance.
What each ingredient does, and how we know
Evidence refers to published research on each ingredient, usually in other products. None of it is a test of this cream.
How it compares with our light moisturiser.
Both are fragrance-free. Choose on how dry your skin feels. Many people use the light one in summer or by day, and this one in winter or at night.
What studies show about each ingredient.
These studies test an ingredient, usually in a different product. They explain why each ingredient is in this cream. They are not results for this cream.
Sunflower seed oil
In a small study of 19 adults across two groups, one group applied sunflower seed oil to one forearm and olive oil to the other, twice a day for four weeks.
Sunflower seed oil preserved the skin barrier and improved hydration. Olive oil weakened the barrier.
A small study of the pure oils on the forearm, not in a cream.
Argan oil
60 postmenopausal women applied argan oil to the left inner forearm every day for 60 days. Half also ate argan oil, half olive oil.
Skin elasticity measures improved on the forearm where argan oil was applied.
Pure oil on the forearm, compared with the untreated arm. No placebo oil, and not a cream like ours.
Cocoa butter
175 pregnant women completed a trial of a cocoa butter lotion or a placebo lotion, applied daily until birth.
Stretch marks developed in 45% with cocoa butter and 49% with placebo: no real difference.
It tested stretch marks, not dryness. It's a useful check on big claims made for butters.
Shea butter and plant oils
A review of research on plant oils and butters applied to skin.
Shea and several plant oils showed barrier-supporting and softening properties in the studies reviewed.
A review of small studies, not a trial of our cream.
Moisturisers in general
77 randomised trials with 6,603 people with eczema.
Most moisturisers helped and reduced flares. There was no reliable evidence that any one moisturiser is better than another.
People with eczema, not everyday dry skin. None of the trials tested our cream.
Cloudberry
Ellagitannins isolated from cloudberries and raspberries, tested in the lab.
They were strong antioxidants in several test-tube assays.
Lab chemistry only. Nothing was tested on skin.
Every ingredient, printed in full.

No Parfum, no essential oils, and no ingredient from the EU fragrance allergen list, including the expanded list that has applied to new products since 31 July 2026. It does contain organic vanilla bean extract and cocoa butter, so you may notice a faint natural smell. Nothing is added to create or hide it.
Vanilla naturally contains a little vanillin, which is on the EU's expanded allergen list. If you know you react to vanilla, or your skin is very reactive, patch test on your inner forearm once a day for five days before using it on your face.

Who it's for, and who should skip it.

Week by week.
Typical timelines for a rich cream used every day. They aren't a promise, and every skin is different.

A little, warmed and pressed in.

Questions, answered honestly.
Yes. There's no Parfum, no essential oil and no ingredient from the EU fragrance allergen list. It contains organic vanilla bean extract, a plant extract, so you may notice a faint natural smell alongside the cocoa butter.
Rich. It's a waxy cream with cocoa and shea butters and two plant waxes, and it softens as you warm it between your fingers. If you want something light that disappears quickly, our Sensitive Skin Moisturiser suits you better.
Rich creams can feel heavy on oily skin, and whether a finished cream blocks pores can't be predicted from its ingredient list alone. If you break out easily, use it only on dry areas at first, or choose our lighter moisturiser.
We don't label it nut free. It contains argan kernel oil, shea butter and cocoa butter. None is on the EU list of food allergens, but argan and shea come from nut-like kernels. If you have a nut allergy, ask your doctor before using it.
A plant wax from the fruit of the Japanese wax tree, used to give the cream its body. The tree belongs to the same plant family as poison ivy and mango. The refined wax is widely used in cosmetics, but if you've reacted to poison ivy, lacquerware or mango skin, patch test first.
Yes. In the morning, let it settle for a few minutes and put sunscreen on top. Many people use a lighter cream by day and this one at night.
From our formula's certification data and its ingredient list. This cream doesn't have consumer testing, so we don't show results.
It contains no vitamin A or retinoids. We're not your doctor, though. Show the ingredient list to your midwife or GP and let them decide.
