Sodium coco-sulfate, cocamidopropyl betaine and coco-glucoside, three coconut-derived cleansing agents. Glyceryl oleate, a lipid that helps skin feel less stripped. Organic plum fruit and linden flower extracts, jasmine extract and hydrolysed wheat protein. A radish root ferment helps keep it stable.
Morning and evening, or in the shower. Wet the skin, work a small amount into a lather, then rinse well. On the face, keep it away from the eyes. Follow with a moisturiser.

This wash pairs its main cleansing agent with two milder ones and glyceryl oleate, a lipid that helps skin feel less stripped. It is still a foaming wash, and we tell you exactly what's in it so you can judge for yourself.

Three cleansers, balanced
Sodium Coco-Sulfate · Cocamidopropyl Betaine · Coco-Glucoside
The main cleansing agent is sodium coco-sulfate. It comes from coconut oil, and its largest part is lauryl sulfate, the same family as SLS. It foams well and lifts sunscreen and sweat. On its own it would be too strong for sensitive skin.
So it's paired with cocamidopropyl betaine and coco-glucoside, two milder agents that soften the blend, and glyceryl oleate, a lipid that helps skin feel less stripped. In patch-test research, glucoside cleansers irritated skin least. We name the main cleanser openly because it matters for sensitive skin.

Cleansers and the skin barrier

Glucoside cleansers
Healthy volunteers were patch tested with sodium lauryl sulfate, sodium laureth sulfate and an alkyl polyglucoside.
The alkyl polyglucoside caused the least irritation of the three.
The detergents were tested alone, not in a finished cleanser like ours.
Hydrolysed wheat protein
Over 2,000 people in Japan who became allergic to wheat after using one facial soap that contained a specific hydrolysed wheat protein.
Many then reacted to wheat in food, and a quarter had anaphylaxis.
It concerns one wheat protein grade that is no longer used. We've asked which grade ours is. If you're allergic to wheat, don't use this wash.
Plum and linden extracts
Plum fruit and linden flower extracts, analysed for the compounds they contain.
Both are rich in antioxidant polyphenols.
We found no human trial of these extracts in a rinse-off product. They're supporting ingredients.
