A water-light cleanser made on organic aloe juice, with two mild cleansing agents, glycerin, betaine and a little hyaluronic acid. Fourteen ingredients in total, every one printed below.
Organic aloe leaf juice as the base. Caprylyl/capryl glucoside and polyglyceryl-4 caprate, two mild non-ionic cleansing agents made from plant sugar, fatty alcohols and plant oils. Glycerin, betaine and sodium hyaluronate to keep skin comfortable. Organic camomile and linden flower extracts.
Morning or evening. Soak a cotton pad, hold it on closed eyes for a few seconds to loosen mascara, then wipe gently over face, eyes and lips. Use a fresh pad until it comes away white. No need to rinse. For waterproof makeup or heavy sunscreen, follow with a wash.
A clear, water-light liquid with a fresh, green scent. Contains Parfum, but none of the fragrance allergens on the EU list, so no allergens are declared. Camomile belongs to the daisy family: skip it if that plant family affects you.

Most irritation starts at the sink.
Cleansing is the step you repeat most, twice a day, every day. Strong detergents, hot water and hard rubbing take away the oils your skin needs, which is why many people feel tight and dry straight after washing.
Micellar water takes a gentler route. Tiny clusters of mild cleansing agents pick up makeup, oil and sunscreen residue on a cotton pad, with no foam, no hot water and no rubbing.

Micelles, explained
Caprylyl/Capryl Glucoside · Polyglyceryl-4 Caprate
Cleansing agents have a water-loving end and an oil-loving end. In water they gather into tiny clusters called micelles, with the oil-loving ends tucked inside. Drawn across your skin on a cotton pad, they pick up oil, makeup and the day's grime.
Ours are two non-ionic agents: caprylyl/capryl glucoside, made from plant sugar and fatty alcohols, and polyglyceryl-4 caprate. In patch-test research, glucoside-type cleansers irritated skin less than sulfates. Betaine and glycerin keep the skin comfortable afterwards.

Glucoside cleansers
Healthy volunteers were patch tested with sodium lauryl sulfate, sodium laureth sulfate and an alkyl polyglucoside.
The alkyl polyglucoside caused the least irritation of the three.
The detergents were tested alone, not in a finished cleanser like ours.
Betaine
Volunteers' skin was exposed to detergent solutions with and without added betaine, then checked by eye, under the microscope and with skin instruments.
Adding betaine reduced the irritation the detergents caused.

Aloe vera
20 women used creams with 0.10–0.50% freeze-dried aloe on the forearm daily for two weeks.
Every aloe concentration raised the water content of the skin's outer layer.

Camomile

Camomile contains flavonoids such as apigenin that calm inflammation in lab studies.
